6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used Ghirardelli)
1.5 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1.) Melt chocolate chips most of the way in microwave.
2.) Add butter to chocolate chips and finish melting in microwave. Stir to combine.
3.) Cream together egg, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl.
4.) Stir in flour, baking powder, and melted chocolate mixture.
5.) Cover batter with plastic wrap and let sit for 1 hour at room temperature.
6.) Preheat oven 350 degrees.
7.) Scoop spoonfuls of batter onto greased cookie sheet. Batter should be thick enough that it doesn’t spread into puddle. Add more flour to get desired consistency if necessary.
8.) Bake for 8-9 minutes. Let cookies cool most of the way before removing from cookie sheet.
